Audition
Tamsyn Russell Dance is seeking to two dance artists for their upcoming research and development period of Scene Stealer.
Audition: Sunday 9th July (by invitation only)
Where: Yorshire Dance, 3 St Peter's Buildings, St Peter's Square, Leeds, L598AH, England
Deadline for application: Saturday 1st July at 11am
Period of employment: Monday 4th September- Friday 6th October
Fee: £450 PCW Travel and accommodation to artists outside of Scotland will be provided.
Scene Stealer is an exploration into the idea of interruption, as individuals and groups attempt to create different worlds, atmospheres, and scenarios, but are continually interrupted by a new scene.Exploring the characters’ different upbringings, values and experiences within a group setting, the company will examine what it means to be individuals as part of a group. This will be the second stage of research and development for this project and will consist of 4 weeks of creation and 1 production week. Rehearsals will take place in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee, Scotland.
Tamsyn Russell Dance is seeking dance artists – 1 male and 1 female – who are confident in delivering high quality contemporary dance technique, and have strong creative skills, musicality and performance.
Tamsyn Russell Dance is a company with a fast-evolving style, so artists with an ability to bring something new and exciting to this production are encouraged to apply.
These two opportunities are to replace existing company members, who have participated in previous R+D stages of this work, so the successful candidates will be required to adapt quickly and step into some choreographed sections for this production, while being creatively independent during the development of the work as a finished piece.
Possible touring of this work in Spring 2018, dependent on funding.
